Srilaksana Suntarahut was the principal translator of the Thai Book of Mormon. She was the daughter of a physician. Her father was the personal physician of King Rama VI (HM King Vajiravudh). Her mother was a friend of the King's wife Queen Indrasakdi Sachi. After the King passed away suddenly in 1925 the Queen who was widowed and without children asked Srilaksana's parents if she could raise three of their daughters as her own children in a home on the grounds of Dusit Palace in Bangkok. So it was from age 6 through age 18 Srilaksana was raised by the queen with whom she developed a close relationship.

Shortly after the first six elders arrived in Thailand in 1968, they met Sister Srilaksana at her home in Bangkok. She was not interested in their message, although she recognized it was different from what she had been taught about Jesus Christ at the Catholic schools she attended as a child and teenager. Since she had a good knowledge of the English language they sold her a copy of the Book of Mormon in English. Several days later she had a few minutes to spare and opened the Book of Mormon. After reading several verses she received a testimony of its truthfulness and has had a deep thirst for gospel knowledge ever since.

The book describes how she was prepared to be the translator of the Thai Book of Mormon and how the Lord assisted her in meeting many challenges. She experienced many physical and emotional difficulties during the translation of the Book of Mormon. The Lord also blessed her with many special spiritual experiences to answer difficult questions and to strengthen her physically. This book chronicles how the translation of the Book of Mormon into a language that was void of many Christian religious terms was accomplished.
